The research aims to identify Youth Leaders’ needs, preferences and challenges related the topic to ensure that the project results will be impactful and practical and enable Youth Leaders to inclusively and effectively stimulate young people’s participation and civic engagement.

Across the four countries, young people (ages 13–30) show a strong desire for meaningful opportunities to learn, participate, and be heard. Education is repeatedly identified as the foundation for equality and empowerment, especialy for marginalized youth. Many also emphasize the need for participatory youth initiatives, from volunteering to civic involvement.
