National Reports
The National Reports are based on the findings of the research developed by the project consortium, in 4 countries – Romania, Germany, France and Czech Republic, to define the base ground of the project by providing data and insights that support the project’s main objective: to empower Youth Leaders (YLs) to become effective educators and facilitators of civic participation, social inclusion, and European values. Based on the research findings, the project will develop tools and methods that are relevant, impactful, and practical for youth work across Europe.

National Report on the findings in Romania of the Youth Leaders’ needs, preferences and challenges on what motivates and trains them to get engaged in democratic life
The profile of youth leaders in Romania, as reflected in survey data, shows a highly educated and predominantly urban demographic, with 60% living in large cities and 66% holding at least a master’s degree. Most are experienced professionals, many from education or social sciences backgrounds, with women comprising 72% of respondents. Still, almost half have less than five years of experience in youth work, indicating an emerging generation of practitioners. Respondents work primarily with adolescents aged 15–24 and are mostly affiliated with NGOs (47%) and schools (38%).

National Report on the findings in France of the Youth Leaders’ needs, preferences and challenges on what motivates and trains them to get engaged in democratic life
The profile of youth leaders in France shows a diverse group, with many respondents active in NGOs, community organizations, and youth services. Women form the majority, and most are based in urban areas.
Their professional experience varies, but many combine formal training with practical involvement in youth work.

National Report on the findings in Czech Republic of the Youth Leaders’ needs, preferences and challenges on what motivates and trains them to get engaged in democratic life
The profile of youth leaders respondent in the Czech Republic, as reflected in survey data, shows a group of practitioners who are mainly young or middle aged, educated, and based in urban areas, with women forming the majority of respondents. Many work in NGOs, schools, or youth centers, often with adolescents and young adults. A large proportion report fewer than five years of experience, showing an emerging cohort of leaders entering the field.

National Report on the findings in Germany of the Youth Leaders’ needs, preferences and challenges on what motivates and trains them to get engaged in democratic life
The profile of youth leaders in Germany reflects a diverse but well-qualified group. Most respondents are concentrated in urban areas and have higher education backgrounds, with many active in NGOs, community organizations, or youth centres. While there is a balance of genders, a large proportion of youth leaders report between three and ten years of experience, showing that the field is anchored by practitioners with professional stability as well as emerging ones.
